According to the News & Observer’s Brooke Cain: Almost 15 years after his death, ABC presents this two-hour look at the life and legacy of trailblazing comedian Richard Pryor. The special has never-before-seen excerpts from interviews with Barbara Walters, during which Pryor talks about his complicated childhood, growing up in a brothel and what drove his success. The special also features new interviews with Pryor’s widow, Jennifer Pryor, and with comedians and actors who worked with him (including Jimmie “JJ” Walker, Tim Reid, Lily Tomlin, Bob Saget and many others).
